We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to lead studies on the metabolic and post-transcriptional regulation of gynecologic cancers. Our research examines how NAD+ metabolism influences tumor development, progression, and treatment resistance in high-grade serous ovarian cancer and endometrial cancers. The postdoc will have the opportunity to work with our advanced murine models and a well-established biorepository of patient-derived organoid models, connecting basic biochemical research with clinical applications. You will join a multidisciplinary, collaborative team at the UChicago Comprehensive Cancer Center, working alongside leading clinicians and translational scientists to develop the next generation of therapies.
Key responsibilities involve designing and leading impactful projects, including mechanistic studies on metabolic signaling and translational control in cancer using cell lines, primary tissues, and murine models. Collaborate within a transdisciplinary team of oncologists and biochemists, while mentoring junior lab members. Present research at major national and international conferences and lead the preparation of high-quality manuscripts.
Qualifications
- A PhD or an equivalent doctoral degree in metabolism, genomics, biochemistry, molecular biology, cancer biology, or a relevant field is required.
- Proficiency in laboratory work is required, with a preference for candidates with extensive experience in cell culture, organoid systems, murine tumor models, molecular biology techniques, NGS assays, and bioinformatics.
- Candidates should show a track record of productivity with first-author publications, have strong English communication skills, and demonstrate a growth mindset aimed at gaining scientific independence.

Compensation in the Biological Sciences Division follows the NIH NRSA Stipend scale.
