The Auerbach Lab is searching for a dedicated research technician to help us understand how the brain encodes sound information in health and disease. We are a neuroscience laboratory investigating the mechanisms of auditory perception and experience-dependent plasticity in the brain. In particular, we are focused on examining pathological changes to sound perception associated with neurodevelopmental disorders and noise-induced hearing loss.

Bachelor’s Degree in neuroscience, biology, psychology or related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Applicants need not have job-related experience; however, the best candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Animal husbandry
• Behavioral testing including but not limited to operant/instrumental conditioning behavioral paradigms
• Molecular biology techniques such as PCR, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
• Computer programing proficiency in Python, R, and/or MATLAB.
