Join the Kim Lab at the renowned Kresge Hearing Research Institute (KHRI) and the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of Michigan, a world-class research institution consistently ranked among the top in biomedical sciences. We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows to lead groundbreaking research in neurodevelopmental disorders and Alzheimer’s Disease. Our NIH- and Alzheimer’s Association-funded projects aim to uncover fundamental mechanisms of neuron-glia communication, synaptic transmission, and neural circuit dynamics, with direct implications for understanding and treating neurological disorders.
Focus on synaptic and circuit-level mechanisms underlying autism spectrum disorder. Utilize advanced techniques such as in vivo imaging, patch-clamp electrophysiology, and live-cell imaging.
Investigate neuron-glia interactions and synaptic dysfunction in Alzheimer’s models. Contribute to manuscript preparation, grant writing, and mentorship of junior researchers.
