Meredith Jackrel’s Lab at Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a postdoctoral research associate. Research in the lab focuses on protein folding and misfolding using yeast, pure protein, and mammalian cell models of disease with a primary focus on neurodegeneration. Specifically we are studying the effects of chaperones and disaggregases on protein aggregation and aberrant phase transitions. We are seeking PhD graduates in Biochemistry, Biophysics/Structural Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Neuroscience, or a related area. Prior experience with mammalian cell culture (particularly neuronal), structural biology, and/or pure protein biochemistry is preferred. Interested applicants should email Meredith Jackrel (mjackrel [at] wustl.edu) with a file containing a CV, statement of research interests, and contact information for three references.
