The Foxman Lab at Yale University is seeking motivated individuals for the position of post-doctoral associate. This position is immediately available to recent PhDs, MDs, or MD/PhDs with experience in immunology, virology, or infectious diseases. The laboratory studies host defense against respiratory viruses, with the long-term goals of improving interventions for these common, high-impact infections and uncovering fundamental mechanisms of innate immunity. Research focuses on innate immune and tissue repair responses of airway epithelial cells and neutrophils, using human primary cell and organoid models and patient samples, and a variety of techniques including transcriptomics and single cell RNA sequencing. The successful applicant is expected to possess fluency with standard immunology and virology techniques and be highly motivated and collaborative. Applicants should have demonstrated the ability to independently complete research projects, strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as a commitment to an inclusive scientific work environment.
