Seeking applications for a postdoctoral research position supervised by Dr. Joseph Deak within the well-established Gelernter Research Group and Yale Psychiatry Division of Human Genetics. Research will primarily focus on genetically-informed studies of substance use disorders (SUDs), psychiatric conditions, and other behavioral and lifestyle characteristics that impact human health. Analyses will utilize large datasets and biobanks including the Million Veteran Program (MVP), the SUD working group of Psychiatric Genomics Consortium (PGC-SUD), All of Us, Yale-Penn, UK Biobank, and 23andMe among others. The position is housed within a highly collaborative research Division with many other postdocs, research staff, and faculty including Drs Joel Gelernter, Daniel Levey, Janitza Montalvo-Ortiz, Renato Polimanti, and Hang Zhou. Opportunities to become involved with other areas of work will arise during the position, including support for pursuing specific research questions and career development funding if those are areas of interest.
