The Department of Microbial Pathogenesis (http://medicine.yale.edu/micropath) seeks candidates for tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position(s) investigating the pathogenesis of viral, parasitic, fungal, or bacterial infections, fundamental molecular and cellular mechanisms of pathogens, and the role of microbes in health and disease.
The department values a broad range of approaches in microbial pathogenesis, including cell biology, imaging, structural biology, metabolism, genetics, and computational biology. The department is home to Yale’s Graduate Program in Microbiology, has a vibrant community of trainees, and prizes collaboration and mentorship at all levels. New faculty will join a significant expansion of the department and have access to cutting-edge resources and excellent lab space. The target start date is July 1, 2027.
