Contribution to Project (1)
For my MSc thesis at IISER Thiruvananthapuram, I developed a computational pipeline to predict cell-type-specific synthetic lethal gene pairs in human cancers using single-cell RNA sequencing data. I analyzed gene expression patterns, integrated gene interaction network information, and used CRISPR knockout datasets to filter and prioritize candidate gene pairs for their potential therapeutic relevance. I also optimized pipeline execution using parallel workflows.
Contribution to Project (2)
During a six-month research project at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, I investigated epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in liver cell populations during development and disease. I processed and analyzed public single-cell RNA sequencing and bulk transcriptomic datasets using Python and R, examined EMT-associated gene expression signatures, and compared cellular populations to investigate changes in cell states.
Contribution to Project (3)
During my research internship at the Jhaveri Microbiology Centre, LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), I worked with clinical isolates to investigate antimicrobial resistance patterns. My work involved DNA and RNA isolation, PCR and qPCR, minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) assays, and mammalian cell culture. This experience provided hands-on training in molecular biology techniques and microbiological research.

Supervision preferences
I prefer a collaborative research environment with regular guidance and feedback from my supervisor, while having the independence to take ownership of my projects. I value open communication, constructive feedback, and opportunities to discuss research ideas, troubleshoot challenges, and develop both technical and scientific skills.
