Assistant Manager For International Research Collaboration

LKCMedicine is seeking an Assistant Manager to support an international research collaboration focused on advancing precision medicine globally. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior academics and international partners, contribute to high-impact research initiatives, and gain exposure to global health and policy-relevant work. The Assistant Manager will provide coordination and administrative support for LKCMedicine's participation in an international research collaboration. The role involves working with internal stakeholders and overseas partners to ensure smooth execution of project activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and sequence Asia-Pacific regional activities to align with the Commission's overall workplan and timelines.
• Align regional stakeholder inputs, milestones, and meeting schedules with central Secretariat requirements, balancing regional and Commission-level priorities.
• Monitor progress, dependencies, and delivery risks across workstreams, proactively adjusting plans and escalating issues with proposed options.
• Manage Commission-related operations and Secretariat support, ensuring activities are delivered within approved scope, budgets, and NTU policies.
• Exercise sound judgement in prioritising documentation, scheduling, and follow-ups, minimising the need for senior-level intervention.
• Lead engagement and liaison with senior and diverse stakeholders, tailoring communications and managing expectations effectively.
• Identify and mitigate stakeholder and operational risks, including misalignment, delays, and competing priorities.
• Plan and deliver high-profile Commission meetings and events, managing complex pre- and post-meeting workflows to ensure intended outcomes.

Key Competencies and Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in research administration, programme coordination, or project management in a university, research institution, or public-sector environment.
• Good organisational, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and stakeholders and work independently within established policies.
• Experience supporting international or multi-stakeholder project is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with administrative and governance processes in a public-sector or higher-education environment preferred but also not required.
