The position is located in Vascular Biology research group focusing on cardiovascular and neurovascular disease, with a particular interest in mechanisms linking vascular dysfunction, inflammation, and sphingolipid signalling to organ damage. The group conducts translational research using experimental disease models and combines functional phenotyping with cellular, histological, and molecular methods.
The associate researcher will contribute to the group's work in experimental cardiovascular research, focusing on myocardial infarction and heart failure as well as immunological and sphingolipid-related mechanisms. The work is conducted in an international research environment and includes collaboration with other research groups and research infrastructures at Lund University.

You will work with experimental research on mechanisms contributing to the development and progression of cardiovascular disease, with a particular focus on myocardial infarction, subsequent cardiac dysfunction, and neurocardiovascular regulation.
This is a special fixed-term position (SÄVA) for 12 months at 80 percent of full-time. The desired start date is November 1, 2026, or as agreed.
