The Department of Chemistry – Ångström conducts research and education in the chemistry field. The department has more than 270 employees and has a turnover of 300 million SEK. Duties

The work involves research on metal-halide perovskite photoelectrodes for electrochemical conversion, such as that of CO2. The researcher will prepare metal-halide perovskite electrodes using solution-based methods and incorporate catalysts onto the electrodes. Furthermore, the researcher will characterize the prepared electrodes using various techniques—such as microscopy and different forms of spectroscopy—and evaluate their performance in various electrochemical processes. The work entails preparing and conducting experiments, analyzing the results, and writing research reports based on the findings.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in physical chemistry or the equivalent. The applicant should have experience with experiments involving perovskite photoelectrodes for photoelectrochemical conversion. Great importance will also be attached to personal qualities—such as strong collaborative skills, drive, and independence—as well as how the applicant's experience and expertise are judged to complement and strengthen ongoing research at the department and contribute to future development. It is particularly meritorious if the applicant has demonstrated an ability to secure external funding in the field.
