Biological Data Platform & Knowledge Systems Engineer (Internship to Hire) Part-time NEW

Genethra is seeking a Biological Data Platform & Knowledge Systems Engineer to help build the data and knowledge infrastructure that supports biological AI research. This role focuses on data pipelines, annotation systems, biological ontologies, knowledge graphs, and structured scientific information.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain biological data pipelines across genomics, imaging, literature, and clinical datasets.
• Support biological knowledge graphs, ontologies, and structured data systems.
• Create data quality, annotation, and validation workflows.
• Assist in automated literature extraction and scientific knowledge organization.
• Work with AI and biology teams to make data more searchable, explainable, and usable.

Requirements

• Experience with data engineering, bioinformatics, or knowledge systems.
• Familiarity with biological databases, ontologies, or scientific literature workflows.
• Strong Python, SQL, or graph database experience.
• Understanding of data quality, annotation, and documentation.
• Interest in making biological AI systems more reliable and interpretable.
