Candidates are invited to apply for an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative research initiative between Professor Lars Fugger at the University of Oxford, UK and Assistant Professor Wilfredo Garcia-Beltran at the Ragon Institute, Harvard, USA.
This remote role will support a collaborative translational immunology research program focused on faster diagnosis, accurate prognosis, and identifying new targets for life-changing and life-saving treatments for patients with autoimmune diseases of the central nervous system.
The individual will work closely with the Principal Investigators and designated lab members to advance multiple ongoing research projects by developing, refining, and maintaining experimental protocols; analyzing and interpreting live-cell imaging, cytotoxicity, flow cytometry, sequencing/transcriptomic, and related experimental datasets; preparing publication-quality figures and data summaries; and contributing substantially to manuscripts, scientific presentations, progress reports, and other scholarly materials.
This work will be coordinated through regular communication with the Principal Investigators and teams, including daily project-related interactions, weekly one-on-one meetings, weekly laboratory meetings, and collaboration meetings. The individual will also help coordinate project timelines, collaborator communications. In addition, they will provide scientific guidance and assist remotely with experimental planning and troubleshooting.
Applicants must hold a degree in a relevant subject and a post-graduate degree in Biostatistics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computing, Mathematical Biology or a related subject and have previous experience in the analysis and interpretation of live-cell imaging, cytotoxicity, flow cytometry, sequencing/transcriptomic, or related experimental datasets.
