We are seeking for a Clinical Research Fellow to join the PARTNERS (trial team at the Pandemic Sciences Institute, University of Oxford. PARTNERS is a World Health Organization (WHO)-sponsored international adaptive platform trial established to evaluate new and repurposed therapeutics for Ebola virus disease and Marburg virus disease. Designed in advance of outbreaks, the trial can be activated rapidly to generate high-quality evidence on the safety and effectiveness of promising treatments. The international trial team is currently supporting activation and delivery of the study during the ongoing Ebola virus disease outbreak in Ituri Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Working within the international trial coordinating team, you will support the clinical implementation and conduct of PARTNERS across participating countries. You will contribute to protocol development, clinical oversight, participant safety, investigator support, training, regulatory activities and collaboration with international investigators, Ministries of Health, the World Health Organization and other outbreak response partners. As a Clinical Research Fellow, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the trial is delivered to the highest scientific, ethical and regulatory standards while generating evidence to improve clinical care during outbreaks of Ebola virus disease and Marburg virus disease.

It is essential that you are GMC registered and must be currently qualified and licensed to practice medicine in the UK. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, allowing you to confidently interact with a wide range of audiences including volunteers, laboratory and administrative staff, monitors and the broader research community. Relevant experience in clinical research and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for this role. Previous experience of working in low- and middle-income settings are desirable.
