Yufeng Shen lab (http://www.columbia.edu/~ys2411/) in the Department of Systems Biology at Columbia University is seeking a full-time bioinformatics analyst for a Staff Associate I position. The Staff Associate I will provide support in large-scale genomic data analysis and computational tools for a multi-disciplinary research team of computational and clinical scientists. Responsibilities include: Provide support for analyzing genome sequencing data in genetic studies of human diseases and conditions; Maintain and optimize foundational bioinformatics pipelines and workflows for genomics analysis, especially annotation for coding and non-coding variants; Maintain and optimize quality control procedures; Manage genomic data sets.
