This is a fixed-term role for 12 months maternity leave cover.
The postholder will provide dedicated student support on qualitative research and contribute to the management of student assessments across the DClinPsy, as well as contribute to the DClinPsy through teaching, tutoring, mid-placement reviews and assessment.
The postholder will work in close liaison with the DClinPsy Joint Research Directors, the Qualitative Research Lead, and the Assessment Lead. The role will include providing ad hoc support to trainees and supervisors in relation to qualitative research methods, and working as part of the Assessment Team.
Interviews are scheduled for 16th September 2026.
This role is part-time (4 days a week). UCL offers hybrid working where appropriate and the successful applicant may normally work remotely for up to 50% of the week if they wish subject to being able to meet the duties and responsibilities of the post.
This appointment is subject to UCL's Conditions of Service for Research, Teaching and Professional Services Staff.
You will be a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist with a doctoral qualification, alongside a completed or submitted PhD by the application deadline. You will have an established track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals, experience of delivering and enhancing DClinPsy teaching and training, and expertise in mental health research, including the use of qualitative methods to develop and evaluate healthcare systems and interventions. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organisational, and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively within multidisciplinary teams. We are particularly interested in candidates who are committed to promoting excellence in clinical psychology training and fostering a supportive, inclusive, and positive learning environment. Experience of supervising postgraduate students, including MSc, DClinPsy, or PhD candidates, would be advantageous.
