The Position

• Field expert of protein and peptide engineering, production and QC with in-depth knowledge and experience.
• Be responsible for generating protein and peptide compounds to enable NNRCC target discovery in cardiometabolic diseases and project progression up to G0 milestone.
• Collaborate with and supervise Tech Scientist/Research Associate to advance relevant technology platforms and deliver project milestones.
• Act as technology coordinator/project manager in a global matrix organization.
• Drive technology innovation in protein/peptide chemistry.
• Build strong scientific network within protein/peptide chemistry with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Synthetic Chemistry or closely related scientific disciplines.
• 6+ years of experience on peptide design, synthesis, engineering and SAR.
• Industrial experience of therapeutic protein and peptide discovery and development is required.
• AI assisted molecule design experience is a strong plus.
• Outstanding track record of creativity, independence, and scientific accomplishments in the field of peptide chemistry.
• Experience in small molecule chemistry and design principle is an advantage.
• Automation experience is a strong plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a global setting is required.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team in a global setting.
