The position is placed at the Translational Neurogenetics Unit, Department of Experimental Medical Science, Faculty of Medicine.
The main task for a doctoral student is to devote yourself to your doctoral studies, therefore you will be both admitted as a student and employed at Lund University. As a doctoral student at the Translational Neurogenetics Unit, you will undertake a four-year doctoral education programme. This includes, among other things, planning, conducting, and evaluating research projects in collaboration with other group members and external collaborators. The doctoral training also involves participation in scientific meetings, preparation of research grant applications, and interaction with stakeholders.

As a member of the Unit of Translational Neurogenetics, you will be part of a collaborative research environment that includes national and international consortia with world-leading expertise in neurodegenerative diseases and Parkinson's disease genetics.
The position is a fixed-term position for a total of four years, 100% with a start date of September 1st 2026 or as agreed. The main rule is that employment at Lund University is conducted in Sweden, so you are expected to be able to perform your work on site in Lund.
