We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral to join the Fluids and Surfaces Group at KTH. The position offers the opportunity to develop an independent research profile within a broad range of topics, including turbulence, multiphase flows, interfacial phenomena, biofilms, surface engineering, computational fluid dynamics, and scientific machine learning.
The research direction will be adapted to the successful candidate's expertise and interests. You will work closely with a dynamic team of PhD students and researchers and have access to unique experimental platforms, advanced numerical simulation tools, and high-performance computing resources. The position is supported by an ERC-funded research program, providing excellent opportunities to pursue ambitious research questions and establish international collaborations.
Your main duties will be to conduct high-quality research, publish in leading journals, contribute to the development of new research directions, and support the supervision of doctoral and master's students. Depending on your background, the work may involve experiments, direct numerical simulations, theoretical modelling, data-driven methods, or combinations thereof.
The FLOW center offers an internationally recognized research environment with strong expertise in fluid mechanics and applied mathematics. The division maintains extensive collaborations with leading academic institutions and industrial partners worldwide.
This position is particularly suitable for candidates who enjoy scientific challenges, value intellectual freedom, and wish to contribute to the development of next-generation approaches for understanding and controlling complex fluid systems.
