We are recruiting a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to lead a project focused on implementing high-throughput, highly multiplexed serological assays for pandemic preparedness. You will contribute to efforts to understand factors that determine viral spread in the Swedish population with an end goal to prevent and ameliorate future pandemics.
You will establish the PhIP-seq assay in our lab, from library handling and assay optimization to sequencing and data generation. The work involves molecular biology, including cloning, PCR, next-generation sequencing, and serological assays. A key challenge is to develop a robust, high-throughput workflow enabling population-scale analysis of large cohorts.
The project is part of a broader initiative to combine advanced serology with innovative blood self-sampling approaches. You will work in a multidisciplinary research environment at KTH, interacting closely with collaborators in affinity proteomics, epidemiology, and computational biology.
This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of a method development project with a strong translational component, contributing to scalable solutions for infectious disease surveillance and pandemic preparedness.
