Postdoctoral Position In Strong-Field Quantum Optics

Are you interested in theoretical strong-field quantum optics and can you contribute to the development and application of theory for light-matter interaction in a new regime? Then the Department of Physics and Astronomy invites you to apply for a 3-year postdoctoral position.

This is a 3–year position from September 1, 2026, or as soon possible thereafter.

You will be contributing to developing and applying theory of interaction between light and matter within strong-field quantum optics. You will be involved in supervision of BSc, MSc and PhD students. These activities will be in close collaboration with the group members in the attosecond science group.

Applicants should hold a PhD in theoretical strong-field quantum optics or similar. It is a requirement that you have documented experience with the theory through already published papers within the research area of strong-field quantum optics. You should enjoy collaborative research and interaction on a daily basis with the group members. You should be able to manage projects scientifically and administratively.
