This position is with the Division of Bone and Mineral Diseases at WashU, a dynamic multidisciplinary community of researchers dedicated to the study of local and systemic diseases affecting bone metabolism. The laboratory of Dr. Erica Scheller has a post-doctoral opportunity in neuroskeletal biology. The fellow will conduct research projects, including development of project concepts, experimental design, data analysis, presentation and publication of experimental results. Our laboratory synthesizes concepts from cell biology, physiology, and bioengineering to study the relationships between the nervous system and the skeleton. We have a directed interest in understanding how neural signals contribute to skeletal homeostasis, and how perturbations to this system contribute to bone loss, impaired healing, and skeletal pain.
