Are you interested in developing next-generation genomics technologies and shaping the future of single-cell and rare-cell analysis? We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Research and Development (R&D) team at the Uppsala node of the National Genomics Infrastructure (NGI), part of SciLifeLab.
NGI is one of Europe's leading academic providers of sequencing and SNP genotyping services, offering cutting-edge technologies and expert support to researchers across Sweden and internationally. At NGI, you will work in a highly collaborative and technology-driven environment with access to advanced instrumentation, high-throughput automation, and strong bioinformatics expertise.
This position is part of a fully funded SciLifeLab Technology Development Project (TDP) aiming to establish transformative methods for copy-number detection from single cells and rare cell populations.
The postdoctoral researcher will play a central role in developing and implementing innovative workflows for ultra-low-input copy number analysis. This approach will combine complementary strategies to enable both high-resolution genomic profiling and scalable screening of rare cell populations.
The project addresses important challenges in biomedical research, such as single-cell tumor heterogeneity in clonal cancer evolution and loss of chromosome Y (LOY) in immune aging.
The work will be carried out in a highly collaborative environment, in close interaction with leading research groups at Uppsala University (Jan Dumanski, Jessica Nordlund), KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Joakim Lundeberg), the SciLifeLab Genomics Platform, as well as relevant industry partners. The postdoctoral researcher will be expected to work collaboratively across these groups present at both Uppsala and Solna SciLifeLab campuses.
