Location – This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person work at North Campus Edmonton.
The Precision Medicine in Autism (PRISMA) group, led by Dr. Daniel Moreno De Luca, conducts research, clinical, educational, and community engagement activities focused on the role of genetics in autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. As part of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Alberta, and operating within the framework of the CASA Research Chair with CASA Mental Health and Recovery Alberta, the program aims to understand how diverse individually rare but collectively common genetic variants contribute to different psychiatric and medical phenotypes, and to translate this knowledge into improved clinical care and precision medicine approaches.
The Research Associate is a full-time Academic Trust position reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI). Working within the strategic and operational framework established by the PI, the role contributes to the advancement of PRISMA's research objectives by leading and supporting complex research initiatives. Key contributions include overseeing ongoing projects, developing new research directions, contributing to grant applications and scholarly publications, supporting administrative, educational, and community engagement activities, including the supervision of graduate and undergraduate students in the PRISMA team, as applicable.

This position offers a comprehensive benefits package with an annual salary range of $80,772 to $90,876.
The terms and conditions of this appointment are governed by Schedule E of the Collective Agreement between the Board of Governors of the University of Alberta and the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta.
