We are seeking a Research Assistant with a good knowledge of project managing large multi-Centre research funded projects, and ideally experience in Parkinsonism or Parkinson's Plus conditions, to join the Department of Clinical and Movement Neuroscience under the supervision of Professor Huw Morris.
The project will involve coordinating the collaboration across multiple sites and overseeing the management of samples, sample transfer, and data generation from study participants with Parkinsonism and Parkinson's Plus conditions, as part of a collaborative team based at the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology.
You will have the opportunity to work in close partnership with scientists at UCL and at collaborating sites around the world. The project also offers the opportunity to assist in other projects in the Group and develop research skills.
The post is available immediately and is funded by research grants awarded to Professor Morris for 12 months in the first instance.

You should have an Honours degree (minimum 2:1 or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, previous experience of coordinating multi-centre studies, and experience of working within an experimental research environment. Demonstrable organisational skills and an ability to manage work without extensive supervision is essential, as are good time management skills, IT proficiency at advanced user level, excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities. You will be meticulous and accurate in all aspects of work, resourceful and able to act on your own initiative, with a proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Expertise in data and sample quality control and experience in efficient management of samples and sample aliquots is desirable.
The post is graded as UCL Grade 6B with salary in the range £39,148 – £41,833 per annum, including London Allowance.
