We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to join a dynamic and collaborative team, committed to improving the lives of autistic people and people with learning disabilities. We are located in UCL's Clinical, Educational, and Health Psychology department.
The department has a strong track-record in training early-career researchers, and this will be an excellent opportunity for the right applicant to develop in their career. We are currently the top-ranked university for research in Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience, research environment is ranked equal 1st in the UK with a 100% world leading rating (REF 2021).
The post-holder will work across the following project workstreams, as well as liaising with a range of stakeholders and organisations. They will support completion of systematic reviews on access to and experience of psychological therapy services for adults with a learning disability and autistic adults. The successful applicant will lead on analysis of qualitative interviews with adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, and clinicians about their experiences in psychological therapy services and potential solutions to problems. They will also support stakeholder meetings to produce outputs and plans to improve services for adults with a learning disability and autistic adults.
This is a fixed-term role available for 12 months in the first instance with a salary offer of £39,807 per annum (including London allowance).
An acceptable DBS check is required to carry out this role.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a BSc in Psychology (or related subject). The right candidate will have strong social skills (to build rapport with participants and diverse team members), as well as an excellent attention to detail and planning/organisational skills. The successful candidates should have excellent knowledge and understanding of the issues facing autistic people and/or people with a learning disability.
