We are seeking a Research Assistant to join the NIHR-funded INVEST multi-site research programme, led by Dr David Herdman, which is evaluating a novel integrated vestibular physiotherapy and cognitive-behavioural intervention for people with persistent dizziness caused by Persistent Postural Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD).
Working closely with the study team, you will support the delivery and coordination of research activities across NHS and university sites. The role includes participant recruitment, assessments, follow-up, data collection, study documentation, and research administration, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), research governance requirements, and study protocols. The post will involve travel between participating research sites.
You will also contribute to other research and service development activities within the Department of Clinical and Movement Neurosciences and benefit from supervision, training, and professional development opportunities in clinical research methods and neurological rehabilitation research.
The role is available immediately and funded by an NIHR grant awarded to Dr David Herdman for 2 years in the first instance.
The post is offered part-time at 18.25 hours per week (0.5 Full Time Equivalent).

You will have an honours degree (minimum 2:1) in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience, together with experience supporting the delivery and coordination of health or clinical research studies. You will have a good knowledge of research ethics and governance processes, and experience of supporting and coordinating the design, development and set-up of research studies.
You will be an organised and proactive individual with excellent interpersonal, communication, and IT skills.
The role is offered with salary in the range of £19,574.00 – £20,916.50 (i.e., 50% of £39,148 – £41,833) per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
