Research Assistant at Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering

We are looking for a Research Assistant at the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering at the University of Aarhus. The position is available as soon as possible and will end April 2028. Workplace will mainly be Incuba Science Park, Gustav Wieds Vej 10, 8000 Aarhus C in the Section for Molecular and Cellular Biology. This position relates to work in the “Nanofiber Technology and Cellular Engineering” group. Therefore, we are looking for a candidate experienced in nanomaterials and humane cell growth.

Expected Start Date and Duration of Employment

The position starts 1 August 2026 or as soon as possible, and ends on 30 April 2028.

Responsibilities

The work will be related to laboratory tasks in relation to research projects. This includes work related to safety, coordination and instruction of bachelor's and master's students, sustainability of a functional laboratory, maintenance of equipment, validation of methods, development of protocols etc.

The Following Responsibility Areas Are Included in This Position

• Contribute with laboratory work in relation to research projects
• Overview and sustainability of structure in the laboratories
• Planning, instruction and teaching of students in different analysis related to research projects
• Responsible for laboratories and equipment
• Waste handling and labelling of chemicals
• Ordering and purchasing of tenders
• Registration of chemicals and equipment

Qualifications

The ideal candidate could have the following qualifications:

• Educational background with a master degree within Molecular biology or like
• Experience with nanomaterials and humane cells are requirements
• Knowledge from laboratory work in a like position
• Strong co-operative skills
• Proactive, structured, engaged in new work tasks and solution oriented
• Active and open minded teamplayer
• Ability to work in a dynamic work environment and interact with many different cultures
• Spoken and written English

Natural Sciences refers to the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Danish Universities under the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
