We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join the research group of Professor Ganesh Acharya, head of the division of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the department of Clinical Science, Intervention and Technology (CLINTEC), Karolinska Institutet.
Professor Acharya's group has a broad research interest spanning from experimental translational studies to clinical and epidemiological studies in women's health, providing the opportunity to integrate advanced molecular, cellular and in vivo physiological techniques to test hypotheses and answer research questions related to embryonic and fetal-placental development, fetal wellbeing and pregnancy complications to improve the health of the next generation.
This position is a fixed-term appointment of 1 year.
As a research assistant you will join a team developing novel methods of fetal monitoring and lead the analysis of physiological data generated during experiments as well as clinical data. The research will integrate in vivo functional cardiovascular measurements with tissue structural, biochemical and omics data to investigate the effect of fetal hypoxia and develop prediction models. Additionally, you will be involved in a project that involves analyses of patient registry data.
