Position Duration: Expected to Continue Until Sep 14, 2027

Location: AUSTIN, TX

Purpose: Laboratory technician studying viruses and bacteria, the host response to infection, novel gene therapy approaches with relevance to new vaccine development

Responsibilities:

• Conduct wet bench experiments to understand the role of RNA in host-pathogen interactions, the antiviral response, and novel gene therapy approaches
• Help manage lab including e.g., ordering, organization, cleaning, scheduling

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in scientific, engineering, or a technical field. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in molecular biology, animal models, processing large data, cell culture, vaccinology, virus infection.

Salary Range

$42,000 + depending on qualifications
