The Affective Brain Lab at University College London is a cognitive neuroscience group based at the Department of Experimental Psychology and the Max Planck Centre for Computational Psychiatry and Ageing Research.
This post is funded by a Wellcome Trust Award entitled “Cognitive Rewards: Mechanism, Development and Well Being” led by Prof. Tali Sharot at UCL. The focus of the project is on developing computational models and biological accounts of intrinsic reward and information seeking.
The post-holder will undertake high quality research combining novel behavioural and neuroimaging experiments on human participants. They will be a senior member of Prof. Sharot's team, and will gain substantial experience and training by working on cutting-edge human cognitive computational neuroscience. They should hold a PhD in computational/cognitive neuroscience, cognitive science, artificial intelligence, experimental psychology or related discipline and have experience of using MATLAB or other programs for statistical data analysis as well as have the ability to undertake high-quality research. The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills; possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary setting. Experience with developing/managing research interfaces with existing AI models would be most desirable.
