Research Fellow

The role is co-funded by the NIHR GOSH Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and a charitable donation by the mosaic variegated aneuploidy (MVA) society. The scientist will be based within the BRC induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) facility, and their principal role will be to generate iPSC lines from rare disease patients. The position will be a 50:50 split between iPSC facility work (generating iPSCs for local researchers), and research in MVA (which in the first instance will involve generating iPSC models and characterising them). Will be a motivated and productive pluripotent stem cell biologist, who can work autonomously while also being a team player. Extensive experience in pluripotent stem cell biology and molecular biology is needed, in keeping with this being a senior research role. Candidates with less experience will be able to demonstrate why their skillset is a strong fit for the role and that they have sufficient expertise to deliver the required outputs.
