The postholder will be based within the Research into Eating, ACtivity and Health (REACH) group, in the Research Department of Behavioural Science and Health at UCL. The project aims to better understand physical activity in UK pregnant women, to improve health and wellbeing in women and their children. The post holder will be responsible for delivering WP1, which will involve collaboration with NHS trusts in England, submitting ethics applications, piloting new surveillance measures for assessing physical activity during pregnancy and upskilling healthcare professionals to deliver PA advice. Quantitative analyses will also allow us to identify areas of greatest need based on geographical and socio-demographic indicators.
The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of epidemiological research and be expected to take undertake advanced quantitative analyses, including using longitudinal and routinely collected data, and writing relevant research papers. Demonstrable experience and confidence in liaising with multiple external (NHS) collaborators/sites will be required.
