We are looking for an inspirational and dynamic individual with substantial experience in physical experimentation to join the CAVE Urban Air Quality and Fluid Mechanics Research Group for a two-year research project on Wildfire Indoor Safety and Environmental Resilience. The CAVE Urban Air Quality and Fluid Mechanics Research Group run the CAVE laboratory, which is a unique and large-scale (216 sqm footprint by 9.5 m high) air quality, environmental and ventilation laboratory.
The chief purpose of the job is to develop and sustain a high level of research in the field of wildfires, building fires and air quality hazards.
The project is experiment-based and will take place in the CAVE laboratory. The role would involve working with other CAVE laboratory users in their research and industry activities, and supporting PhD, MSc and MEng students working in the lab. The role would also include a limited amount of teaching.
