Research Fellow (Process Systems Engineering) Full-time

Research Fellow Position

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) at the Nanyang Technology University is an interdisciplinary school, hosting research programs in organic and inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, chemical engineering, bioengineering and process engineering and synthetic chemistry. The key objective is to support efforts to tackle new challenges in chemical manufacturing, healthcare, energy, food, and other important sectors.

We are looking for a Research Fellow to join MoSPSyDe (Ken Research Group) in the field of process systems engineering. The role will focus on developing novel pharmaceutical process models for crystallization and other key unit operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the project of pharmaceutical crystallization process modeling
• Develop novel process models by combining mechanistic models and machine-learning techniques
• Actively participate in the group events and mentor students
• Communicate with external researchers and industry experts to deepen the project
• Publish articles in prestigious academic journals

Job Requirements:

• PhD qualification degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Relevant experiences in process modeling
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical processes
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in programming (e.g. Python), differential equations, and machine learning
• Competent in data analysis and research proposing
• Ability to work independently and in a team, excellent organizational and time management skills
