Senior Clinical Research Manager

The Senior Clinical Research Manager will provide professional leadership, coordination of, and support to the research delivery team within the Centre for Clinical Research in Infection and Sexual Health. The postholder will act as the managerial lead covering all aspects of research expert practice, education and development and leadership. This is a full-time role available for 2 years in the first instance.

Salary range: £68,284 to £76,244 per annum (including London Allowance), depending on experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Clinical Research Manager to join our team. The successful candidate must have:

• Master's level qualification or equivalent experience
• Extensive experience of clinical research within various HEI/NHS settings and specialties
• Knowledge of the clinical trial life cycle including experience of the set up and performance management of clinical research studies
• Knowledge of current national systems and structures for the approval, management and monitoring of clinical research studies
• Experience of developing, implementing, and following standard operating procedures
• Experience of managing studies including recruitment, implementation of contingency planning, project plans, risk analysis and the implementation of innovative strategies
• Experience of managing high performing teams
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and negotiate
• Ability to think strategically, use initiative, analyse problems, make decisions, and implement effective and appropriate solutions
