The Department has a substantial research programme, with major funding from Medical Research Council (MRC), Wellcome Trust and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and provides highly rated medical training in psychiatry. The Head of Department is Professor Belinda Lennox.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Climate Cares group, leading mixed-methods research in climate change and mental health, with a particular focus on lived experience co-production and policy translation.
What We Offer
About the Role
The post is funded for six months and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital. You will develop research questions and support grant proposals within the context of climate change and mental health research projects, conduct co-produced research with experts by lived experience, analyse detailed and complex qualitative and/or quantitative data from a variety of sources, and generate original ideas by building on existing concepts and developing climate-mental health frameworks underpinned by a range of disciplines.
About You
You will hold a relevant PhD/DPhil together with post-qualification research experience and will have a strong publication record demonstrating familiarity with current literature, research developments, and methodological approaches within the field. Experience of cross-cultural co-production with people with lived experience of mental health challenges and/or climate-related impacts is desirable.
