Postdoctral Fellow – Microfluidic Organoid Research Full-time
Motosuke Laboratory at Tokyo University of Science is now seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral reseracher for microfluidic organoid research. We will develop experimental tools for the precise manipulation of brain organoids. This is two-year posdoctoral position starting from October 2026.
Research
The candicate will engages the development of microfluidic devices for brain organoid culture experiments.
- By modeling organoid metabolism and controlling mass transport, we will determine the optimal microchannel geometry that enables stable supply and removal of substances. We will then fabricate the device, perform culture experiments, and evaluate its performance.
- We will design and fabricate a microelectrode array (MEA) with perfusion functionality for electrical stimulation and activity evaluation of organoids and connectoids. Demonstration tests will then be conducted to verify its effectiveness.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with strong training in one or more of the following areas
- Development of microfluidic systems
- Micophysiolocgical systems
- Organoids
- Micro/nanofabrication
Required
- Ph.D in a relevant field
- Research productivity
- Strong interest in collaborative research in interdisciplinary field
