The main purpose of this position is to contribute to teaching and assessments on Pharmacology components of the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) and MSc courses delivered within the School. The postholder will be supported by a team of colleagues who also contribute to the delivery of the courses, Module Leads and by the Head of Research Department.
The successful candidate will teach and participate in marking of exams, coursework and other assessments in addition to supervising student conducting research projects. They will also provide pastoral support and supervisory roles to students conducting research projects. The role will also provide the opportunity to participate in admission interviews and observed structured clinical examinations (OSCEs).
This appointment is subject to UCL Terms and Conditions of Service for Academic Staff. Grade 8 salary ranges from £54,931-£64,644.
You must have a PhD or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline related to biology and a knowledge of subject areas that relevant to teaching on the MPharm and MSc programmes. Effective time management, meeting deadlines and excellent communications skills are essential for this role. A proven track record in delivering excellent teaching and providing academic and pastoral support to students are also essential for this role.
