Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?
Our group is specialized in studying immune mechanisms that regulate rheumatoid arthritis development. During this research period you will acquire a valuable experience in experimental technologies, and you will have the chance to learn about immunology, metabolomics and autoimmune conditions.
You will participate in performing and analyzing in vivo experiments, using murine arthritis models, where we investigate the role of certain cytokine pathways, autoantibodies and lipid compounds in disease development. You will also prepare glycovariants of autoantibodies and characterize these in various experimental models.
You have a genuine interest in immunology and autoimmunity. Good collaboration skills and a capacity of independent work and problem solving are required. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
The project is largely composed of in vivo murine models, and due to the short period of employment an already completed education for conducting research with laboratory animals at Karolinska Institutet is required. Previous experience and already acquired experimental skills in flow cytometry, cytokine assays, antibody purification and glycan analyses are considered merits.
A creative and inspiring environment with wide-ranging expertise and interests. Karolinska Institutet is one of the world's leading medical universities. Our vision is to pursue the development of knowledge about life and to promote a better health for all. At Karolinska Institutet, we conduct successful medical research and hold the largest range of medical education in Sweden. Karolinska Institutet is also a state university, which entitles you to several good benefits through our collective agreement. And you get to practice freely in our modern wellness facilities, where trained staff are on site.
