We are seeking a motivated research assistant to join our efforts to improve drug combination therapies for pediatric cancer using advanced experimental and computational approaches, including lineage tracing, single-cell sequencing, and patient-derived organoid models. The position is based in the research group led by Dr. Kasper Karlsson at Karolinska Institutet, Department of Oncology-Pathology and SciLifeLab. We focus on understanding therapy resistance and tumor heterogeneity in childhood cancers to identify more effective treatment strategies and drug combinations. We are located at SciLifeLab, providing an interdisciplinary research environment with excellent opportunities for collaboration across molecular biology, computational biology, technology development, and translational cancer research.

The successful candidate should be highly motivated and hold an MSc in a relevant field such as biomedical science, molecular biology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related discipline. The applicant must be fluent in English and eager to work in a multidisciplinary and international research environment. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, enjoy collaborative research, be willing to learn new techniques, and be capable of working independently in a structured manner.
