Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Pharmacology Research Scientist to join our pain pharmacology group in San Diego. We are looking for a motivated, creative, and innovative scientist with a deep understanding of ion channel physiology and pharmacology and expertise in pain research. This lab-based role involves designing mechanistic studies, developing cellular models of neuronal function, and analyzing data to guide decision-making. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience using cutting edge electrophysiological and imaging techniques, utilizing primary cells, including human cells. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong desire to collaborate within a multidisciplinary drug discovery team.

On-Site Designated
In this On-Site designated role, you will work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
