The Laboratory for Chromosome Segregation at the Center for Biosystems Dynamics Research is seeking research scientists or postdoctoral researchers. The laboratory studies chromosome segregation in oocytes, eggs, zygotes, and early embryos, as well as their errors including age-associated ones. We use multiple mammalian models including mice. We conduct research taking advantage of cell biological techniques such as live imaging, cell engineering approaches using micromanipulation, molecular biology including synthetic biology, and other technologies.
Position-specific tasks are as follows:
Research Scientist: Carry out research and other work in accordance with research themes of the laboratory.
Postdoctoral Researcher: Carry out research and other work in accordance with laboratory research themes under the mentorship and training of supervisors.
Basic research toward understanding and controlling mechanisms for chromosome segregation in oocytes, eggs, zygotes and early embryos, and preventing their errors. Successful applicants are requested to conduct experiments and analyses for the JST-CREST research project “Generation of Aneuploidy-Free Embryos through Artificial Intracellular Components”.
The job description may be changed during the contract period or upon contract renewal to the extent described above.
