The Department of Engineering Science is seeking a Taught Programme and Research Coordinator to support the University of Oxford's new MSc in Artificial Intelligence for Engineering Biology, managing all non-academic aspects of the new programme and leading on the coordination of its set-up, implementation and ongoing delivery. They will assume full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the course, deputising for the Academic Director as required and acting as first point of contact for all queries regarding the programme.
Additionally, the postholder will lead and co-ordinate communications, public engagement and events for the Oxford Engineering Biology network, working closely with colleagues across the University and beyond to further strategic and research objectives and raise the profile of Engineering Biology at Oxford. This will require fostering partnerships with a range of external and internal stakeholders, including senior academics, researchers, industry, and professional/technical colleagues.
About you: You will be educated to degree level with substantial experience in administration, project management, recruitment and/or academic governance within a higher education setting or complex matrixed organisation. You will possess exceptional attention to detail, able to take initiative, make sound judgements and ensure accuracy in all aspects of work. You will have a proven track record of delivering successful services or improving administrative processes, implementing innovative solutions, and/or managing successful projects or events. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders and diverse audiences. You will handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professionalism and provide high-level support to committees and leadership teams.
