Are you interested in developing your research skills after obtaining your masters degree in cell and molecular biology? Here is an opportunity to work with a very experienced epigenetics expert in an exciting groundbreaking project. The MedH department at KI offers stimulating and creative work environment.
Your primary responsibility will be research in epigenetics with a focus on cellular quiescence and cancer. The work includes culturing human cells, including primary cells, cell lines, and cancer cells; transfection of cells with siRNA; protein purification; and Western blot analysis. The position also involves cell biology methods, confocal and fluorescence microscopy, FACS, and epigenetic analyses.
To qualify for the position as a research assistant, you must have completed a Master's degree in Molecular Biology within the past two years. Documented research experience in cell biology and nuclear organization is considered particularly meritorious. Hands-on experience with advanced methods in cell biology and molecular biology, as well as documentation and analysis of experimental data, is required for the position. Excellent written and spoken English skills are expected, and great importance will be placed on personal suitability and laboratory skills.
